# Taxlines

> Taxlines explains US property tax bills line by line. Upload a bill (PDF or photo) and every charge is explained and tagged: can't be removed (tax on value, voter-approved bonds), may come off (exemptions or local exemptions that may fit you), ask the agency (flat charges), may be cancelled (late penalties). It shows exemptions and credits already on the bill, the ones you may be missing for your state, about how much each saves, and the deadline. Free. An optional $29 packet adds step-by-step instructions, the official forms with the bill's details, letters, phone scripts and a dated checklist.

Taxlines is not a government agency, a law firm or a tax adviser. County forms and reviews are free, and homeowners file them themselves. Taxlines never charges for help asking for a lower assessed value.
