Your property tax bill has your name, address and parcel number on it. Here is exactly what happens to it.
Updated October 28, 2026
What we keep
- Your bill (the files you upload) and what we read from it.
- Your email, to send you the private link to your results and, if you buy the packet, your receipt link.
- Your answers about yourself (age, disability, veteran status, household income), if you give them, to check which programs fit.
- Your name, address and late-payment reason, if you type them in, to fill in your letters.
- Your questions are answered and not stored.
How long
Everything above is deleted 30 days after you upload, or at once when you press Delete everything now on your results page. Copies in backups and logs expire within 30 days after that.
To learn which local charges to check next, we keep the name of each flat charge on bills (like "MOSQUITO ABATEMENT") with its county and a count. That record has no names, addresses, parcel numbers or amounts.
Who handles it
- Anthropic (Claude) reads your bill and answers your questions. Anthropic doesn't train its models on this data.
- Cloudflare runs the site and stores your files and results.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Stripe handles payment. We never see your card.
Our public pages (not your bill's page) run our own visit counter: no cookies and no IP address kept. It notes the page, the site that sent you, your device type, and the city and region your connection comes from, so we know which pages people read.
We don't sell or share your information, and there are no ads or third-party trackers on any page. Your results link is the only key to your bill: anyone with it can see it, so keep it private.
To limit free use, we keep a one-way scrambled form of your IP address for two days. It can't be turned back into the address.
